Why we exist
Buying a desk or office chair is a big decision. You'll sit in it (or stand at it) for thousands of hours, and prices range from a few hundred to well over a thousand dollars. The problem? Workspace Reviewed was built to solve that. We spend hours digging through manufacturer specs, analyzing verified customer reviews, comparing expert opinions, and distilling it all into clear, structured buying guides — so you can make a confident decision without opening 30 browser tabs.
How we research
Every recommendation on this site is backed by thorough research, not sponsored placements. Here's what goes into a typical guide:
We start by identifying every credible option in a category — not just the brands with affiliate programs. We pull detailed specifications directly from manufacturers and cross-reference them for accuracy. We analyze hundreds of verified customer reviews across Amazon, Reddit, specialized forums, and retailer sites to identify real-world strengths and recurring complaints that spec sheets don't reveal. We consult expert sources — ergonomists, physical therapists, and established review publications — to ground our recommendations in evidence, not opinion. Finally, we structure everything into comparison tables and clear verdicts so you can find the right product for your specific situation and budget.
We update our guides regularly as new products launch, prices change, or we find new information that shifts our recommendations.
What we don't do
We believe in being upfront: Workspace Reviewed is a research and curation site, not a hands-on testing lab. We don't have a warehouse full of standing desks. When a guide references specific measurements like wobble, noise levels, or weight capacity, that data comes from manufacturer specs, verified third-party reviews, or expert testing — and we always cite the source.
If and when we do personally own or test a product, we'll say so explicitly in the review.
